fables

The Boys and the frogs are about boys throw rocks at frogs for a game which kills many of the frogs. Moral of the story is what we do in sport often makes great trouble for others.
The Horse, Hunter and stag. The horse wants to conquer the stag so he asks for the hunters help but has to agree to certain conditions so the horse does and they conquer the stag but then the hunter keeps the horse so the horse is conquered. Moral of the story is If you allow men to use you for your own purposes, they will use you for theirs
The Lion and the Mouse is about a lion who catches a mouse and might eat him but the mouse says he will help the lion out someway somehow so the lion lets him go. After the lion gets in a trap and tied up and the mouse sees the ropes and bites away at them and frees the lion. Moral of the story is little friends may prove great friends.
The man and the woods is about a man going into a forest to ask the trees for a branch each and the trees agreed to this because they were strong and healthy so they give him a branch then he takes all that wood and makes a brand new axe head to cut down the whole tree. The moral is then the Trees saw how foolish they had been in giving their enemy the means of destroying themselves.
The man and his two wives are about a middle aged man has two wives and one is older than he and the other is younger than him so he starts to have gray hairs and his older wife likes it because she gets mistaken for his mom so she pucks out a black hair in the morning and he sees his younger wife at night and she pucks out the greys. The moral of the story is yield to all and you will soon have nothing to yield.
The Milkmaid and Her Pail is about Patty who is carry milk down to the market is debating what she will do with the money she will get from the sale of the milk she decides that she will buy chicken which will lay eggs then sale the eggs to buy new clothes and make a girl jealous and she sees that girl flips her head and slips all the milk. The moral of the story is do not count your chickens before they are hatched
The Fox and Mosquitos is about a fox who gets his tail stuck in a brush and the mosquitos see that and go feast on the fox and a hedgehog comes up and asks the fox if he wants him to make the mosquitos go away he says no because more will come with a fresh hunger.
The fishermen and the little fish is about a fisher who catches fish for his living catches a small single fish for the entire days work and the little fish begs and tells the fisherman that he is not fully grown and to spare his life and he will come back and be a great fish fit for the table of the rich but the fisher doesn’t take his bride. The moral of the story is do not forego a certain gain for an uncertain profit.
The wolf and the horse is about a wolf coming out of a field of oats meets with a horse and tells the horse he should go into the field because the wolf had left great oats for the horse and the horse thinks it’s a trick and doesn’t go to the field. The moral of the story is men of evil reputation, when they perform a good deed, fail to get credit for it.
